Storm Weavers is a unique combination of a classic gamebook with an element of tactical combat taking place on the board. As a dwarven warrior, you undertake a journey across the vast land of Midgard to find and rescue your friend. To achieve your goal you must overcome a sinister adversity. As you travel from location to location, you have to face strong orcs, clever goblins, bloodthirsty wolves, ice giants, all migthy gods, cowardly wizards, greedy merchants, bad people, good people ... can they stop you from reaching your goal?

You're probably wondering what's going on in our dwarven workshop. 86% of you have already completed Backerkit surveys, for which we thank you! We hope that the remaining 14% of our community will be able to do so in a short time.
In the meantime, we have already completed the translations of all the content of both the English and French versions. Both versions are currently being edited. The edition of English version is already 75% completed, while the work on the French edition has just begun, as we needed more time to find a daredevil who would take on this task.
As the translation of the game and the editing has been of special concern to many of you, we would like to assure you once again that the game that will come into your hands will be linguistically at a high level, thanks to:
John Marc Green, English version editor
John Marc Green is a gamebook enthusiast who was first introduced to branching fiction with the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books he enjoyed as a child in the 1980s. He is currently teaching writing, media and film production at the university level in the US. A lifelong book lover, he is a writer and is planning future gamebook projects. He recently published an article on branching story design patterns in the Gamebook Zine, available in print and digital formats on Amazon. He loves Celtic and Nordic legends, as well as the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Neil Gaiman.
Antoine Prono, French version editor
My name is Antoine Prono and I am a freelance translator specialized in the gaming industry. Over the past years I translated, edited or proofread more than 200 KS and non-KS games set in various universes: Science-Fiction (Nemesis, Dune), History (Monumental, Glory: A Game of Knights), Fantasy (Northgard: Uncharted Lands, Paper Dungeons...), working with many French game publishers. I also translated role-playing games (Mage 20th, Conan), videogames, and W40K novels (Black Library). As a gamer myself, I know that a proper translation is critical for a good gaming experience. Storm Weavers reminds me of the books of Ian Livingstone that I read when I was younger, but with a new twist and a modern gameplay, and I'm really excited to work on such a project. I will make sure that French-speaking players get the best gaming experience that Anna and I can offer!

Storm Weavers me replonge dans l'ambiance des Livres Dont Vous Êtes Le Héros de ma jeunesse, écrits par Ian Livingstone, mais en y ajoutant un nouveau twist pour s'adapter au jeu de société moderne. Je suis très heureux de travailler sur ce projet ; avec Anna, nous allons nous assurer d'offrir la meilleure expérience de jeu possible aux joueurs francophones !
